"Professional home staging came in second place in the South and Mid-West. On a national level, agents reported that the average cost of professional home staging is between $400 and $600, potentially resulting in a $1,900 to $2,500 increase to the home’s selling price, making the return on investment over 340%.
According to a HomeGain survey done earlier in the year, in August, to 1,000 agents, 48.91% responded that home staging increases the value of a home by $5,000 or more. The second largest group, 29.35% said that home staging increased a home’s value between $2,500 and $5,000".
